Privacy Policy

SafeGear Workwear Supply Inc. (“SafeGear”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we handle when you visit safegear.ca, contact us, request a quote, or buy from us, and the choices you have. We follow the ten fair information principles set out in PIPEDA.

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to personal information about our customers, prospective customers, website visitors and business contacts that SafeGear collects in the course of our commercial activities. It does not apply to third-party websites we may link to, which have their own privacy practices.

SafeGear is accountable for the personal information under its control, including information transferred to third parties who perform services on our behalf. Our sole director, Naveed Khan, is responsible for overseeing our compliance with this policy.

2. What personal information we collect

We only collect information we need to respond to you and supply products and services. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

• Contact and identity details — your name, company or site name, email address, phone number and mailing or delivery address.
• Enquiry and order details — the products, quantities, sizes, roles and quantities you ask about, quotes issued, orders placed and delivery instructions.
• Fitting information — footwear, glove and garment sizes you provide so that gear fits (we do not collect medical information).
• Account and billing details — for B2B supply accounts, business contact, purchase-order and invoicing information.
• Website and technical data — basic, non-identifying information such as pages viewed and general device or browser type, where applicable (see Cookies & analytics below).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not sell your personal information.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate, including to:

• respond to your enquiries and prepare quotes;
• process, fulfil and deliver orders, and arrange mobile fittings;
• set up and administer B2B supply accounts, reorders and invoicing;
• provide customer service, warranty and product-safety follow-up;
• send you information you have asked for and, where permitted, occasional service updates; and
• meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.

We identify the purposes for which information is collected at or before the time of collection. If we ever want to use your information for a new purpose, we will ask for your consent first.

4. Consent

We collect, use and disclose your personal information with your knowledge and consent, except where the law permits or requires otherwise. By sending us an enquiry, requesting a quote, or placing an order, you consent to us using the information you provide for the purposes described above.

The form of consent we seek is appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by contacting us using the details below. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide certain products or services.

5. When we disclose information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We may share it only as needed to serve you or as required by law, for example with:

• couriers and delivery providers, to fulfil and deliver your order;
• suppliers and manufacturers, where a specific order or warranty requires it;
• payment processors, accountants and other service providers who act on our behalf under confidentiality obligations; and
• authorities or advisors where disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law.

When we engage service providers, we use contractual or other means to provide a comparable level of protection while the information is being processed on our behalf.

6. How long we keep it

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and to meet legal, accounting and tax requirements. When information is no longer needed, we securely destroy, erase or anonymise it. Information used to make a decision about you is retained long enough to allow you access to it.

7. How we protect it

We protect personal information with safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including physical measures (secured premises and records), organisational measures (limiting access to those who need it) and technological measures (access controls and secure handling of digital records). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to keep our safeguards current.

8. Accuracy, access and correction

We keep personal information as accurate, complete and up to date as necessary for the purposes for which it is used. You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, how it is used and to whom it has been disclosed, and to request a correction. We will respond within a reasonable time and, where a request is refused, explain why. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. There is generally no cost to access your own information, but we will tell you in advance if a minimal cost applies.

9. Cookies & analytics

This is a lightweight, largely static website. It does not require you to create an account or accept tracking cookies to browse. The contact form does not transmit data to our servers — when you submit it, it simply opens a pre-filled message in your own email application, which you then choose to send. If we introduce optional analytics or cookies in future, we will update this policy and, where required, seek your consent.

We will acknowledge and investigate all complaints. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, which oversees compliance with PIPEDA.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The current version is always posted on this page with its effective date. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
